This is a bit of an experiment. I seriously doubt there is anything any of you will be interested in here; but if you are here due to the blog address I added to the back of our Christmas cards we sent out to friends and famly this year I'd like to know about your visit.
All you have to do is drop down to the word "comments" below, click on it and fill out the little window that opens. You can check "anonymous" and if you want, you can add your name in your short message. This is "just for fun" and something to fulfill my curiosities about how all this works. It is also safe; especially if you use the "anonymous" feature.
We sincerely hope your holidays are wonderful and everything we always want in our Christmas season: family fun and gift exchanges, excellent food and drink, a bit of football, and total enjoyment of that lovely time-off, and a remembrance and appreciation of He is who is the "reason for the season."

Nanowrimo Morte on Day One
Alas, the month is drawing to a close and all those nanowrimers out there are thumbing out close to 50k words. Many will work toward completion even today, thankful no doubt, to be near completion.
With only one day's attempt and its consequent 1,300 words, I quit. My ideas wasn't/isn't clear, the plot I thought might work, won't; I had too much left in the editing process for The Marker.
So, now I have to recede my bragging rights from four completed novels in five years, to four completed novels in six years. There is a smudgeon of guilt, another smudgeon of kick-the-dirt-dog-gone-it, and an even smaller smudgeon of just plain old "shucks," but not enough of any of those to care a whole lot. Maybe next year.

"The Marker" Al Fin
The final edit for The Marker has been shipped and the first, hot-off-the-press edition of the novel ordered. It took the major portion of the last year to complete this project. It is good to be done.
With two books now published through lulu.com, and two sitting in limbo on the hard drive, it as been decided the next will be put into manuscript form and used to seek an agent. Whether it will be The Girl with a Cello, or the most recent, The Intersection, has yet to be decided.
Today is Turkey Day. We will gather with the usual crowd later this afternoon and enjoy a feast with family, football and festive pumpkin pie. We're all thankful to simply, be here.
